Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ghaziabad is Celebrating the 3rd National Pharmacovigilance Week commencing from September 17-23, 2023.
For Consumer Awareness, NCC-MvPI, IPC is organizing a webinar on “Key role of Consumer in Materiovigilance Programme of India” on September 22, 2023 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
It’s also an exercise to improve the Public Trust on Vigilance Programs and encourage and nurture the culture of reporting from Public, Consumers on Medical Devices Safety related incidents.
Regulations are meant, created to protect Consumers interest and welfare. This is the objective of Technical Regulations globally.
Regulated Sector means Products , Services offered to communities offer an Assurance on Product/Service Quality and Safety
Medical Devices are part of the Value Chain, Supply Chain of Healthcare Services. Hence checking the Supply Chain Quality and Safety, as per Regulatory Compliance, is critical in clinical settings
Consumers also buy , use, pay for the Medical Devices directly or indirectly through user settings.
Consumer Education is critical to Educate Consumers about Reporting Near Misses, Adverse Events, Malfunctioning of Equipments etc
We, as Consumers, generally perceive that reporting as tedious process and lack of awareness on the significance and procedures of reporting (e.g., what, how, where and when to report the incidents) .
Each one of us is a Consumer and it matters to learn something about Pharmacovigilance (Drug Safety) and Materiovigilance (Medical Device Safety) Programs in the country.
Request you all to join the Essential Public Education Program in Healthcare .
