VCO – Webinar on Commercialisation of Indigenous Medical Technologies
AiMed is pleased to coordinate the webinar on “Commercialisation of Indigenous Medical Technologies”.
IIT Kanpur will be hosting this online event on its platform and AIC AMTZ Medivalley will be co-hosting it.
The event focusses on the Models of 6 Institutions that have successfully commercialised new technologies and startups over other institutions .

Commercialisation of Indigenous Medical Technologies is the global focus now. Many countries are focussing on strengthening their domestic supply chains . Developing indigenous technologies is critical ad crucial. India has laid a strong foundation in encouraging Innovations in Healthcare , Medical Technologies space. What the country witnessing today is a vibrant ecosystem that encourages and nurtures, accelerates innovations.
What is challenging for Innovators and Startups is Commercialisation of these Technologies which require extensive handholding, guidance, acceleration , scale up support which needs a strong connected ecossystem.
This is where Innovation hubs have contributed immensely by creating a connected platform for young Innovators, Startups and offer Guidance, Handholding support from a 360 degree perspective. This ecosystem didn’t develop over night. It took the hubs almost a decade to produce Innovators who are making an impact at market place today and are contributing to the country’s GDP and economic growth. Future belongs to agile businesses and agility is what young innovators, startups bring to the market place across the globe .
During this evangelization phase of developing Startups, Innovators in the country, many TBIs, Startup Hubs, Startup Centers have come up inside academia, inside industry corridors, inside many other apex institutions in the country.
However, very few hubs are marching forward, racing ahead and are contributing immensely to address market place needs and to make their incubatees become successful, help them to accelerate . These hubs have become the Launchpads for many Innovators in the country.
AIMED, the strong Voice for Medical Device Manufacturers in the country, has always encouraged developing , strengthening this nextgen agile ecosystem in the country and has been contributing regularly to build the Startup ecosystem in the country.
AIMED has designed this initiative by inviting these successful launchpad hubs to present their success stories and endeavours to the market place . These Model Institutions have accepted the request and come forward to share their experiences, challenges and opportunities that exist for all in the market place.
Atmanirbhar Bharat focus is also towards establishing a good connect between Industry – Academia – Innovators ! Hence all connected stakeholders are meeting on Feb 19th virtually to discuss about this Nation Building Exercise !
