Envirocare Green Awards: A Global Celebration of Sustainability Champions
Since its inception in 2018, the Envirocare Green Awards (EGA) have emerged as a beacon for environmental stewardship, recognizing and celebrating individuals and organizations committed to sustainable practices. Founded by Dr Nilesh Amritkar as his Personal Social Responsibility (PSR) and organized by Envirocare Labs, EGA has grown from a regional initiative to an international platform, embodying the principles of “Encourage | Empower | Enlighten.”
Over the years, EGA has witnessed participation from a diverse array of stakeholders, including large corporations, MSMEs, government bodies, NGOs, academia, and individuals. The awards have garnered over 300 applications from more than 12 countries, reflecting a global commitment to environmental sustainability.
Each edition of EGA features keynote sessions by esteemed dignitaries and thought leaders in sustainability, offering attendees valuable insights and inspiration. EGA 2024 Notable speakers have included Dr. Sapna Poti, Director of Strategic Alliances at the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, and Mr. Matthew Webber, Executive Business Coach at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
The awards have also been a catalyst for tangible environmental impact. Initiatives recognized by EGA have led to the planting of over 570 geotagged trees (over 150,000 kg of CO2 reduction and creating 23+ livelihoods) across various regions, contributing to economic biodiversity conservation.
EGA’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond recognition. The awards have facilitated knowledge-sharing through a series of sessions focused on the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering a community of practice among environmental professionals.
As EGA continues to evolve, it remains steadfast in its mission to inspire collective action towards a greener future. By highlighting exemplary efforts in environmental conservation, EGA not only honors current achievements but also motivates ongoing and future initiatives in sustainability.
CCC has been associated with EGA since 2022 and salutes the achievements of EGA Awardees. For more information and to participate in upcoming editions,
