As you are aware, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), The National Standards Body of our country, is a statutory organization under the BIS Act, 2016. BIS gives utmost thrust for safeguarding and protecting the interests of consumer. With this background, it is proposed to organize a programme titled “Manak Manthan” which is envisaged to launch new standards and share important revisions / Amendments and wide circulation drafts to local manufacturers, Industrial and Trade Bodies, Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations, PSU’s or organizations who use such products, Government departments, Regulatory bodies, Laboratories, Civil society groups and Academia.
In this regard, the standard chosen for this month’s Manak Manthan programme is Indian Standards on “Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Industrial Boots as per IS 12254:2021”.
