It undertakes assessment of Certification, Validation & Verification and Inspection Bodies applying for accreditation as per the applicable international standards and guidelines.

NABCB is a member of the follwing International bodies which have accreditation bodies from various countries as members:

NABCB has signed mutual recognition arrangements of IAF/IALC/APAC for almost all its schemes which means its accreditations are on par with accreditation bodies in USA or Europe and confer international equivalence on the accredited CBs/VVBs/IBs which in turn promotes acceptance of certificates issued to the industry by these bodies in the global market. Many countries automatically accept accredited certificates under its regulations also.

The CBs /VVBs/ IBs assess businesses to various International, National or recognized Standards as per the scope of accreditation granted to them by NABCB. Entrepreneurs need to check the scope of accreditation granted by NABCB before selecting them as the Certification or V&V or Inspection Agency. Its important to check the scope of accreditation because CBs / VVBs/ IBs are awarded accreditation by NABCB only for specific scopes in which they show competence. In an era of unaccredited and unauthentic certificates that are issued to businesses by CBs /VVBs/IBs, its important to obtain accredited certificates to be able to operate in both domestic and international markets because non accredited certificates are liable to be not accepted by the regulatory authorities and customers. Accredited certificates halp overcome trade barriers both in the domestic as well as in the international markets. Therefore, obtaining certificates from accredited CBs/VVBs/IBs is very important for businesses.
